Trelica was born out of our experience working in an enterprise SaaS company, where we witnessed how SaaS allows businesses to select the software they need to thrive.
However, giving anyone within the organization the power to choose software comes with a downside. Business users aren't technology or information security specialists. This means decisions are often made without understanding the risks or obtaining necessary approvals.
The result is that central functions like IT, Procurement and Legal end up playing catch-up as the business makes decisions without them. This challenge becomes even harder when teams work in isolation without a central, reliable inventory of SaaS apps.
