High-performing, modern IT teams trust Trelica.

Benefits

A strategic, not responsive approach to access management

Trelica lets you automate the access request management process by specifying up-front who can request access to systems, how that access is approved, and how it’s provisioned.

Efficiency through clear policies

Managing access via tickets is a time sink: imprecise requests result in back-and-forth and waste everyone’s time. Articulating up front who should have access to what brings clarity and efficiency.

Put employees and managers front and center

IT teams often facilitate access, but Trelica allows employees and their line managers to request or approve it.

Move to access on-demand, not access by default

Birthright access to many apps might seem like a time-saver, but it leads to excessive costs and security gaps. By making it easy for employees to request access, you can give minimal access at the start and easily grant access to resources when they need them.

Easy-come, easy-go

Employees are up to 5x more likely to respond positively to optimization workflows and relinquish access to apps if they have a clearly defined route to regain access when they need it.

Build on your existing access management infrastructure

Trelica works through the tools your users are familiar with and takes full advantage of your existing Identity Provider or ticketing processes.

Integrate with your existing tools

If you’ve invested in connecting Okta, Azure, or JumpCloud to existing apps, Trelica seamlessly works with them to manage the access process.

Pick the right tool for the job

Trelica uses APIs to automate what can be automated, but if human intervention is required, then manual steps are assigned to ensure the right level of access is granted in a standardized manner.

Smarter approvals

Adhere to clear approval policies - define dynamic approval chains using Trelica’s knowledge of application owners and line managers.

Meet your users where they already work

Users can seamlessly request access through Trelica’s employee-oriented App Hub, from day-to-day tools like  Slack, or via ticketing systems like Jira.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does Trelica just create accounts or can it assign to groups and roles too?

Trelica will let you assign to groups, roles, or even manage licensing depending on the API functionality of the application you are provisioning to. Where the API doesn’t allow for this, you can provide manual instructions, and a task will be assigned to guide someone through.

Can you define approval policies?

Trelica lets you define multi-step policies involving line managers or configurable application-related roles to ensure that the right people are involved in approving access at the right time. Approvals can vary depending on the level of access being granted.

I use Okta for SSO only - can Trelica manage access with apps directly?

Trelica picks the best route for provisioning. If your identity provider (e.g., Okta) is configured to provision, Trelica will use this; if Okta is only managing SSO, Trelica will assign in Okta and then provision directly; if there’s no API connection available, Trelica will assign a task to guide an IT administrator to manually assign access.

Many of our apps don’t have APIs or we aren’t on the right plan for provisioning. Can we still use access request management?

Yes, Trelica will create tasks that can be assigned to the relevant administrators, and you can provide application-specific instructions to guide admins through assigning the right access.

It’s helpful to let users request access, but what if I want to manage provisioning through our existing Service Desk solution.

Trelica can create and manage tasks in many ticketing solutions, such as Jira, ServiceNow, Freshservice, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus, Asana, Zendesk, and more.

I don’t want everyone to be able to request access to everything. Can I restrict access to certain roles?

Access levels are tied to team or department-based access policies. This means, for example, that you can give the Engineering team different access to Jira than, say, the Support desk.

Can employees request access to new applications we’re not currently using?

The App Hub shows employees a selection of apps based on their role within your organization. They can also initiate access requests for new apps. They’re first guided through a process to check to see if any existing applications might meet their needs.

Can I use access requests as part of my JML (Joiners, Movers, Leavers) process?

Trelica’s workflow functionality handles the full range of steps as part of JML (Joiners, Movers, Leavers) processes. Access requests can make joiner processes particularly flexible. For example, line managers can request access on behalf of new joiners as part of onboarding workflows or once an employee is in their role.

If I start a trial, will your sales team descend on me?

No. You will receive a couple of emails with tips and links to tutorial videos (and, of course, a meeting link in case you want to speak to us). No bombardment, no unwanted calls. We also have to find SaaS tools to run our business - we like testing things out for ourselves and don’t like being harassed, so we’re committed to selling with the same mindset.
